Couples, Relationship & Family Therapy in London & Across Ontario
Your relationship doesn’t have to look the way society expects it to.
Relationships can hold connection, change, uncertainty, difference, and sometimes difficult conversations.
Whether you're navigating communication, intimacy, a transition, family dynamics, or changes within a relationship, we offer a courageous space for anyone to explore what’s happening — no matter what your relationship looks like.

Making Space for Change in Your Relationships
Maybe the way you communicate with one another isn't working anymore. Your family is adjusting to a significant change. Your identities, cultures, and lived experiences can shape how you relate to one another and navigate change together.
You may be navigating a separation or divorce, blending families, exploring a new relationship structure, supporting a partner through transition, or understanding how to affirm and support a child as they explore their gender or sexual identity.
Whatever brings you to therapy, you should be able to talk about your relationship or family as it actually is — without having to explain or defend its structure first.
Affirming Therapy for Relationships & Families
Our work recognizes that relationships and families can take many forms, and that each person brings their own experiences, identities, perspectives, and needs into the relationship.
Therapy can offer a dedicated space to understand one another better, navigate challenges and changes, and explore what connection, communication, and family can look like for you.

Relationship and family therapy may include support for navigating:
✔ Communication ✔ Intimacy ✔ Relationship transitions and changes ✔ Separation and divorce ✔ Family dynamics ✔ Blended families ✔ Cultural, racial, gender, or identity differences within relationships ✔ Supporting a partner through transition ✔ Affirming and supporting a child as they explore their gender or sexual identity ✔ Polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships
How Couples, Relationship & Family Therapy Can Support You

Every relationship and family brings its own dynamics, experiences, challenges, and strengths into therapy. Depending on what brings you here, therapy can create space to work toward:
→ Understanding Each Other More Clearly: Explore the patterns, experiences, identities, and perspectives shaping how you relate to one another, with space for each person to feel heard and understood.
→ Strengthening Communication and Connection: Find new ways to approach difficult conversations, express needs, navigate conflict, rebuild trust, deepen intimacy, and stay connected through change.
→ Navigating Change Together: Work through transitions such as separation or divorce, blending families, changes in relationship structure, shifts in identity, or other changes affecting your relationship or family.
→ Building Relationships That Work for You: Explore what healthy connection, boundaries, support, intimacy, and family mean to you without having to fit your relationship into someone else's expectations.
→ Moving Forward With Greater Understanding: Develop a clearer sense of what matters to the people involved and how you want to move forward — whether that means strengthening your connection, changing how you relate to one another, or making thoughtful decisions about what comes next.
Therapy That Starts With Your Relationship, Not Assumptions About It
We work with relationships across identities and structures, including queer and trans partners and people in polyamorous relationships.
You don't need to justify your relationship structure before you can talk about the communication, intimacy, transitions, interpersonal dynamics, or other experiences that brought you to therapy.

In a 2025 Statistics Canada study, 33% of racialized Canadians who had experienced discrimination reported high life satisfaction. That increased to 47% among those with strong family connections and 49% among those with strong connections to friends.
Our relationships don't exist separately from what we experience in the world around us. Culture, identity, discrimination, belonging, and other life experiences can shape how we connect, communicate, and support one another. Creating space to understand those experiences together can help strengthen the relationships that matter to us.
What to Expect From Couples, Relationship & Family Therapy

Your first session is a chance for your therapist to get to know you, understand what brings you and the people important to you to therapy, and talk about what you hope to get out of your time together.
