Therapy for Adults in London & Across Ontario
Whatever brings you to therapy, you can bring the full context of your life with you.
You may know exactly what you want support with, or you may simply know that something feels difficult, different, or ready to change. Therapy can give you space to understand what you’re experiencing and explore where you want to go next.
At RRT, we provide personalized, affirming therapy that makes room for your identity, culture, relationships, lived experiences, and the world around you.

What You're Navigating Doesn't Exist in Isolation
What brings you to therapy is often connected to more than one part of your life. The challenges you're facing, the experiences that have shaped you, and how you move through the world can all influence how you feel and what you need.
Your identity, relationships, culture, community, and environment are part of that bigger picture. At RRT, you don't have to separate those parts of yourself from the reason you came to therapy.
There is space to explore what you're going through within the full context of your life.
Affirming Therapy for Adults
Our work is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Your experiences, identities, relationships, strengths, and the context of your life can all be part of the conversation.
Therapy can offer a dedicated space to understand what you're experiencing, navigate challenges and change, and explore what you want for yourself at your own pace.

Adult therapy may include support for navigating:
✔ Anxiety and stress ✔ Trauma and difficult past experiences ✔ Burnout ✔ Grief and loss ✔ Life transitions ✔ Identity exploration ✔ Relationships and interpersonal challenges ✔ Self-esteem and self-worth ✔ Neurodivergence and ADHD ✔ Disability and chronic health experiences ✔ Workplace stress ✔ Caregiving and changing family roles ✔ Aging and later-life transitions ✔ Personal growth
How Therapy for Adults Can Support You
→ Understanding What You're Experiencing: Make space to explore your thoughts, emotions, patterns, experiences, and the context surrounding what's happening in your life.
→ Moving Through Change: Navigate transitions, loss, relationships, changing roles, identity shifts, or periods when life looks different from what you expected.
→ Finding Ways to Cope With Stress and Overwhelm: Explore strategies for navigating anxiety, burnout, difficult emotions, systemic stress, or experiences that leave you feeling overwhelmed or depleted.
→ Strengthening Your Relationship With Yourself: Build greater self-understanding, recognize your needs and boundaries, and explore what feeling more grounded and connected to yourself could look like.
→ Moving Toward What Matters to You: Clarify what you want for yourself and make space for growth, change, connection, or greater ease in the areas of life that matter most.

You Don't Need to Have It All Figured Out Before You Start
You don't need a clear explanation for what you're feeling or a list of goals before beginning therapy.
Sometimes knowing that you want something to feel different is enough of a place to start. Therapy at RRT gives you dedicated space to explore with a therapist, at a pace shaped by what matters to you.
Care Shaped Around Your Life & Experiences
→ Your Identity Is Part of the Context: Your racial and cultural identity, gender, sexuality, disability, neurodivergence, and other lived experiences don't need to be treated as separate from the rest of your life.
→ You Are the Expert on Your Life: Therapy at RRT is collaborative and co-constructive. We work alongside you rather than deciding for you what healing or growth should look like.
→ A Brave Space to Explore: Our goal is to create a brave space where you can feel safe enough to explore what may be difficult or uncomfortable and courageous enough to grow and move through life with greater ease.

Among racialized Canadians, 24% of those who experienced racism or discrimination reported fair or poor mental health, compared with 13% of those who did not. Mental health can be shaped by more than what is happening internally. The environments and systems people move through can matter, too.
