Karly Green (They/Them)
Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying
Experience:
Graduating from Yorkville University, I have extensive experience in providing virtual psychotherapy to help you heal from the comfort of your own home. I originally trained in the public sector, giving me the opportunity to learn from a wide variety of life circumstances and personal identities in addition to my own personal experience with queer and disabled identity. Because of this, I am able to provide therapy that is tailored exactly to your needs. I am a good fit for you especially if you are looking to explore identity, work on self-esteem, or explore how oppression is affecting your wellness.
"I approach therapy from a person-first, socially just perspective. I understand that life’s greatest problems need unique solutions, approaching our work together as collaborators in a supporting environment."
Specialties:
Person-centered Therapy (PCT), Culturally Responsive and Socially Just modalities (CRSJ), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Anxiety, burnout, chronic pain and disability, gender identity and exploration, minority stress, self-esteem, depression, life transitions, post-partum mood conditions, and phobias
Client Focus:
Adults, seniors, youth 15+, people with disabilities, 2SLGBT+, gender questioning people
Fun Facts:
I am a major crafter and always have a project within arm's reach. On my off-time you can usually find me curled up with my dog, Omelette, or out experiencing the world and taking up space.
Find Support That Feels Like the Right Fit
Finding the right therapist isn't only about credentials or areas of practice. Connection matters, too.
Your first step at RRT is a 20-minute Discovery Call with our Clinic Coordinator.
We'll learn more about the kind of support you're looking for and help match you with a therapist in the clinic. If you start therapy and realize the fit doesn't feel right, you can come back to us. We'll talk about what wasn't working and help connect you with another therapist who may be a better fit.
